Our ever growing managed cluster of B2B software application companies in Downtown Youngstown grew a bit more with the approval Visual Impact Imaging and Eris Medical Technologies as new tenants.
Visual Impact Imaging www.visualimpactimaging.com provides high quality design software and other technical tools to the landscaping industry throughout North America. Eris Medical Technologies www.erismed.com has developed software that is focused on identifying, benchmarking, correcting and tracking outpatient hospital and clinic missing revenue and charge capture opportunities. Both firms will be moving into the Youngstown Business Incubator (YBI) in about one month when YBI's new Taft Technology Center and renovated Semple Building open. Nine additional software companies are expected to follow within the next twelve months.
Yup. A three building campus loaded with world class software companies globally doing business from Downtown Youngstown.
Yes we can!

Wow...what a year!
Added five new B2B software companies to our growing portfolio.
High profile visitors including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Presidential candidate John Edwards, Senator Sherrod Brown, and Lieutenant Governor Lee Fisher.
Construction starts on our new $6million Taft Technology Center to accommodate the tremendous growth of YBI companies.
Secured $1.5million in funding to establish the National Center of Excellence for Advanced Metrology and 3-Dimensional Imaging.
Portfolio company Turning Technologies tops the Weatherhead 100 list and is named by Inc. magazine as the fastest growing software company in the country.
Stay tuned in 2008. The best is yet to come!

Wow! What a phenomenal week we just finished.
On Monday, we met with President Thomas Chema and other key officials at Hiram College to discuss expanding our joint entrepreneurial efforts.
On Tuesday, the structural steel skeleton of our new $6million center for YBI graduate companies was completed.
On Wednesday, YBI received a very positive "shout out" in the national edition of the Wall Street Journal.
On Thursday, the first leg of our ultra-high speed wireless Internet for external partners was successfully lit up.
And on Friday, thanks to the invitation from Congressman Tim Ryan, we were extremely honored to have House Speaker Nancy Pelosi come to YBI for a tour of our facilities and for discussions with the CEOs of three of our portfolio firms. And would it be immodest of us to say that Speaker Pelosi called the Youngstown Business Incubator "the model for the nation" at her press conference afterward?
Nice.
