What?

INSPIRE! is a new initiative of YBI for its virtual Portfolio Companies. YBI has created flexible business development space to accommodate their unique needs. Oftentimes, entrepreneurs in the very early stages are working at home, hunkering down in the basement or hanging out in the local coffee shop. No more! With INSPIRE!, virtual Portfolio Companies will have the benefit of professional office space, use of conference facilities and equipment and most importantly, the ability to thrive in the dynamic innovative environment of YBI and the Managed Cluster.

Who?

Very early stage entrepreneurs who are developing information technology solutions to serve an unlimited range of businesses. YBI is focused on this industry segment, creating a Managed Cluster of its Portfolio Companies. This Cluster is a unique ecosystem of businesses and entrepreneurs that are willing to collaborate, problem-solve and support its peers an invaluable resource for INSPIRE! users.

Why?

When entrepreneurs are in those early stages of idea formation, product development and even alpha testing, it is often premature for occupancy at YBI. Yet, at the same time, access to YBI resources is crucial to their development. YBI anticipates that entrepreneurs who use INSPIRE! will develop more quickly and apply for occupancy at YBI.

Where?

Located on the first floor of YBI, INSPIRE! provides easy accessibility with secure, private office space.

When?

Now! After a year of planning and fundraising, INSPIRE! opened in May 2009.

How?

With generous support of The Youngstown Foundation, Dominion Foundation, Kennedy Family Foundation and Philip Thompson Charitable Trust, YBI was able to renovate the 1800 square foot suite to dedicate to INSPIRE!
